DAILY SCRIPTURE STUDY · DAY 82 OF 365
Paul's unanswered plea
Read 2 Corinthians 12:7–10Paul pleads three times for his thorn to leave. The passage does not identify the thorn with certainty, so we should not call it a diagnosed illness or use it to explain every unanswered prayer. Christ answers with sufficient grace and power made perfect in weakness. Keep asking boldly for help while receiving the strength Christ supplies in the present.
Put the Word into practice
Pray honestly about a persistent burden, then name one way Christ is sustaining you and one support you need.
Search the Scripture
What does the text identify clearly about the thorn, and what does it leave unspecified?
A prayerful response
Lord Jesus, hear my plea for relief and let Your power sustain me in weakness. Amen.
