DAILY SCRIPTURE STUDY · DAY 63 OF 365
A storm becomes calm
Read Mark 4:35–41Jesus commands the wind and sea, and the storm becomes calm. He then asks the disciples why they are afraid and why they have no faith. We should neither shame frightened people nor remove His challenge to trust Him. Their final question concerns His identity: even wind and sea obey Him. Bring your fear to the Lord whose authority exceeds the storm.
Put the Word into practice
Name your fear in prayer. Read Jesus' questions and consider what trusting Him requires in your situation.

Why does Mark end with the disciples asking who Jesus is?
A prayerful response
Jesus, strengthen my faith when fear rises. Teach me to trust Your authority and follow You through trouble. Amen.
