DAILY SCRIPTURE STUDY · DAY 48 OF 365
Pray in hardship
Read Psalm 13Psalm 13 moves from repeated questions about how long, to a direct request for help, to trust in God's steadfast love. The psalmist does not hide distress to make prayer sound respectable. Bring the whole struggle before God. Honest lament can become an act of faith because it keeps turning toward the One who can hear and help.
Put the Word into practice
Write a short prayer with three parts: your honest struggle, your request, and what you trust about God.
Search the Scripture
How does the direction of the psalm change between its opening and closing verses?
