Loved by God

Paul says Christ died for the ungodly while we were still sinners. God's love is demonstrated in that action, not earned by our improvement. Justification and reconciliation come through Christ. Begin with what He has done rather than trying to make yourself worthy before you approach Him.

Put the Word into practice

Thank Jesus specifically for His death and reconciliation rather than presenting your achievements as your claim.
