DAILY SCRIPTURE STUDY · DAY 326 OF 365
Consider One Another
Read Hebrews 10Hebrews 10 moves from access to God into responsibility for one another. Because Jesus has opened the way into God’s presence, the hearers are urged to draw near, hold firmly to hope, and give deliberate attention to encouraging love and good works. Gathering is therefore more than attendance; it provides a setting for active encouragement. The chapter’s original audience knew public mistreatment, shared suffering, and the loss of possessions. Under those pressures, withdrawing could seem easier than remaining visibly connected. Yet the writer calls them toward one another, not into isolated endurance. The approaching Day gives their mutual care urgency. For believers today, this means asking more than whether a gathering met our needs. We also consider whom we can strengthen. Confidence in Christ’s sacrifice should make us attentive participants in a community that helps its members continue in faith and love.
Put the Word into practice
Before your next church gathering, identify one person to encourage and prepare a specific invitation to join you in an act of love or service.

In light of Hebrews 10:24–25, how would your preparation for gathering change if you deliberately considered another person’s perseverance?
A prayerful response
Faithful God, keep me from treating fellowship as something only to receive. Open my eyes to someone who needs encouragement. Help me strengthen their hope and stir up love through thoughtful words and practical care. Amen.
