DAILY SCRIPTURE STUDY · DAY 28 OF 365

Ask, seek, knock

Read Matthew 7:7–11

Jesus repeatedly invites His hearers to ask, seek, and knock, grounding that invitation in the Father's goodness. He compares earthly parents giving good gifts with the Father giving good things to those who ask. Bring real needs with confidence. The passage calls us into trusting dependence on a good Father, not bargaining with an unwilling one.

Put the Word into practice

Name a specific need and ask the Father plainly, returning to Him rather than giving up on prayer.
