DAILY SCRIPTURE STUDY · DAY 26 OF 365
The burden and the yoke
Read Isaiah 10:24–27Isaiah addresses people threatened by Assyria and promises the removal of that oppressor's burden and yoke. The wording of verse 27 differs across translations; the NKJV's reference to anointing should not be treated as a complete doctrine of ministry power by itself. The passage first declares God's rule over an actual oppressor. Read the chapter before building an application.
Put the Word into practice
Read Isaiah 10:24–27 with the preceding judgment on Assyria. Separate the original promise from your personal application.
