A prayer of faith

James gives the sick a clear invitation: call the elders, receive prayer, and be anointed with oil in the Lord's name. He speaks confidently about the prayer of faith and the Lord raising up the sick. The community also practices confession and prayer for one another. Act on this invitation with expectation, while continuing compassionate support and appropriate medical care. Ongoing illness is not grounds for blame.
