DAILY SCRIPTURE STUDY · DAY 108 OF 365
Fix your eyes
Read Hebrews 12:1–3The race in Hebrews 12 follows the witnesses of chapter 11, but Jesus is our decisive focus. He endured the cross and is seated at God's right hand. We lay aside both sin and the weights that hinder us. Endurance is not staring harder at our exhaustion; it is considering Christ and continuing in faithful obedience.
Put the Word into practice
Identify a sin to repent of and a separate distraction to lay aside. Make a practical change for each.
Search the Scripture
How does considering Jesus in verse 3 address weariness and discouragement?
A prayerful response
Jesus, turn my attention toward You and strengthen me to run with endurance. Amen.
